Norman Walter Couture
Eden-Norman Walter Couture, 89, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Eden. He was born October 3, 1925 in Winooski. Norman served state-side in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Norman enjoyed snow-machining and liked to hunt and fish and generally loved nature. He liked to prospect for gold and was interested in geology. He was a member of the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association.
He is survived by a sister, Blanche Spitzer of Gardnerville, NV; nieces and nephew, Lynda Johnson of Minden, NV; Herbert Spitzer, Jr. of Silverton, Oregon and Barbara Hancock of St. Maries, ID; good friend, Donald Spitzer of Johnson; good friend and cousin, Eugene LaBounty of Essex Junction; cousin, Roland LaBounty of Seneca, SC; cousin, Virginia Giroux and family of Mooers, NY; several Seymour cousins in the Champlain, NY area and several other members of the Spitzer family. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Couture and mother, Edoilda LaBounty Morway.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morrisville. A graveside service with military honors will be held in the spring in Eden Corners Cemetery. Condolences may be offered by going to faithfh.net.
