Herschel L. Earle

Eden-Herschel L. Earle, 65, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, December 6, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born January 21, 1949 in Jeffersonville, the son of Linton Lloyd Earle and Mavis Marckres Earle.

Herschel grew up in Eden. He moved to the Brattleboro area in 1980 but returned to Eden in 1992 and has lived there since. He worked at various jobs over the years including: logging, carpentry and truck driving, which he enjoyed the most. He enjoyed hunting, dancing and playing practical jokes and was always an avid fisherman.

As Herschel’s health declined he found things he could do to keep busy which included beading hooks, building and painting bird houses and knitting hats that he enjoyed giving away. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and he cherished his grandchildren.

Herschel is survived by his wife, Linda Allen Earle; five children and their significant others: Joseph, James, Jason, Jonathan and Jolene; ten grandchildren: Tyson, Kris, Jenna, Jacob, Jordan, Elliott, Emillie, Brian-James, Trinity and Linda-Rose; his siblings and their significant others: Oleta, Wyonetta, Ila, Floyd, Ernest and Barbara; and his special “adopted” family, Todd Perras and Julie Chauvin and their children, Hannah, Jeffrey and Jenna and also many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Loren; sister, Ilene and nephews, Clinton Morin and Jared Earle and an infant granddaughter, Molly.

In honoring Herschel’s request there will be no public service. On his birthday, January 21 the family will launch Chinese lanterns in his honor. Family and friends far and near are welcome to join us from your home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herschel’s memory may be made to Lamoille Home Health and Hospice, 54 Farr Avenue, Morrisville, VT 05661.

Online condolences may be made by going to the Faith Funeral Home website (faithfh.net).
