Josephine “Joey” Teroni Rawson

Morrisville-Josephine “Joey” Teroni Rawson, 63, passed away unexpectedly at her home Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was born September 21, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George Joseph and Josephine Dorsa Teroni.

Josephine worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Genesis Eldercare and then later at Copley House in Morrisville. She was a loving mother of four and had been a faithful member of the Foursquare Church in Morrisville before its closing. She enjoyed the internet and loved to shop.

“Joey” as she was known loved her children and grandchildren very much. After having Paul in her life it gave her more hope in changing her way of current living. Both decided to build a home together which was planned to be completed by fall. Her son, David, did many wonderful things for her as well. Both men being with her daily kept her spirits up in the hope of making her dream a reality. She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Rawson; her children, Dawn C. Houston and partner, David P. Lathe, Sr. of Eden Mills; Gina M. Houston of Morrisville; David Houston of Morrisville and Bobbie Jo Houston and boyfriend, Jay Foster of E. Hardwick; siblings, George Teroni, Jr. of Stowe; Debbie Lafave of Hyde Park; Johnny Teroni of upstate New York and Donna Norway of Johnson; grandchildren, Faith Houston; Patrick Houston; Brooke Foster; Ginnie Foster and Jayson Foster; several nieces and nephews and also her first husband and father of her children, Mahlon “Sonny” Houston of W. Fulton, NY. She was predeceased by her parents.

Friends may call at the Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morrisville on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Riverbank Cemetery in Stowe.
