Louise Riley, 60, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday June 13, 2015. Louise was born July 16, 1954 in MA, the daughter of Joseph Riley and Margaret Riley. Throughout her lifetime Louise courageously coped with physical and medical disabilities. Her indomitable spirit was an inspiration for all that knew her. During her young adult years, Louise lived in Roswell, NM with her parents and sisters. While in New Mexico Louise enjoyed visiting the local zoo, listening to country music, visiting the local museum and picnics in the park. In 1980 Louise relocated to Morrisville, VT with her family and became involved in gardening, daily walks with her parents and feeding the ducks at the local lake. She enjoyed cooking, singing and had a passion for classic television and music. Louise also helped care for many rescue animals. Louise was a devoted aunt to her nephews and niece and shared her love and laughter with them throughout the years. When Louiseā€™s health care needs increased she was placed in a private care home in Chester, VT with a wonderful and devoted family. Here Louise developed the hobby of keeping tropical fish, bowling and enjoyed frequent day trips to local sites. Louise was greatly loved by all who knew her. Her infectious charm was evident despite her multiple health challenges. She is survived by her sister Sheila Halnon and husband Jim of Sharon, VT, her sister Andrea Peden and husband Michael of Cambridge, VT, her sister Maureen Riley of Albuquerque, NM, her nephews Sean and Evan Halnon of Sharon, VT and her niece Ann Halnon of Sharon, VT. Louise was predeceased by her parents. Louise made a powerful impact in the lives of all who knew her by her humble and kind nature. She was loved very much and is greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18 at 11:00 A.M. at St Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Underhill Center, VT. Faith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
