Lloyd K. Jones

Hyde Park-Lloyd K. Jones, 71, died peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, June 18, 2015. He was born July 8, 1943 in Hyde Park, the son of Floyd and Frances Frazier Jones. Lloyd was a 1961 graduate of Lamoille Central Academy and a 1966 graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Civil Engineering. He married Virginia Caselden on June 22, 1968.

Lloyd retired as a Commander in the U.S. Navy in 1987 and was a Vietnam veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, sugaring, and working on his hobby farm. Lloyd also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, cooking, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; their children, Rebecca Jones of Massachusetts; Neil Jones and wife, Jean; Russell Jones and Lisa Reen all of Hyde Park; grandchildren, Erin Jones, Dustin Jones, Kyle Jones, Kyrsten Reen, Kaitlin Millay, Kayla Reen, Nathan Jones, Jacob Reen, Marisa Jones, Lucas Jones and Nolan Jones; siblings, Marilyn Cobb of New York;, Audrey Barrows of Florida, Hugh Jones and wife, Gloria of Virginia, Donna Morse of Georgia, VT, Jackie Burns and husband, Roger of Florida, and Rodney Jones and wife, Linda of Florida; a brother-in-law, Gene Blake of Morrisville; and many nieces and nephews. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Marlene Blake and a brother-in-law, Dexter Morse.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Church in Morrisville. Visitation will be Thursday, July 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morrisville. Interment with full military honors will following the funeral service at the Jones Cemetery in Hyde Park.
