Pauline Josephine (Duval) Gingras
Morrisville-Pauline Josephine (Duval) Gingras, 89, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at The Manor in Morrisville, VT. Pauline was born in Springfield, MA on September 3, 1927, the daughter of Edward and Celinaire (Grenier) Duval. She lived in Springfield for 69 years, before moving to Tennessee, where she lived for 20 years, before moving to Morrisville, Vermont.
On May 15, 1958, she married Francis E. Gingras (Websterville, VT; deceased, June 1990), and together they raise three children together: Francis (deceased, January 2014), David (Stowe, VT) and Mary (Morrisville, VT). Mary was her lifelong support and never left her side. In 2016, Mary and Pauline moved to Vermont to be closer to David and his wife, Carole, and Pauline’s four grandchildren: Marissa (Pittsburgh, PA); Christie (Stowe, VT); Matthew (Cincinnati, OH) and Abbey (Stowe, VT). Pauline is also survived by her sister Carol (Duval) Manzi (Feeding Hills, MA). Her twin brother, Paul, and her older brother, Raymond, are deceased. She is survived by three brother-in-laws, three sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Pauline belonged to the Blessed Sacrament Church in Stowe, VT. Prior to that, she was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Johnson City, TN; and before that, Holy Name Church in Springfield, MA.
Pauline has resided for the last three months at The Manor nursing facility in Morrisville. The family wishes to express their full gratitude and appreciation for the care, attention, support and treatment provided to Pauline by the staff.
Visitation will take place from 5-7pm on Monday, May 15th, at the Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morrisville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Blessed Sacrament Church, in Stowe, on Tuesday, May 16th at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Springfield, MA, on Tuesday, May 16th, at 3:00 p.m.
